Over Protective Parents

So here I am once again in my room in this boring old city they call London...and i decided to write a new blog on over protective parents. See me i have parents that love me dearly and pretty much give me anything that i ask for, I'm very fortunate to come from a loving family and to have loving parents like mine.BUUUUTTTT with each loving parents that people may have comes also the over protective side of them...and Boy are my parents TOO OVER PROTECTIVE...i mean don't get me wrong i love my parents and all and they are supposed to watch over me or what not...but i just feel like sometimes i need to do things on my own and sometimes my parents don't give me that privilege...but I've seen worst cases TRUST ME I've seen kids who parents who won't even let them walk outside past 6(YEA I KNOW)...now if that were my case I'd probably go crazy considering the amount times i go out with my girls...but i just think that some parents need to realize that there comes a certain point and time where your child needs to be independent and where you need to let them make mistakes so that they are able to learn.
Because i know alot of parents don't want their kids making MAJOR mistakes or anything like that but you also gotta know that we need to make mistakes in our lives ESPECIALLY when were younger so that we can learn from those mistakes and be able to move forward from that. If we don't make mistakes how are we supposed to know right from wrong? our parents just telling us that this is right or wrong doesn't always do the trick....ANOTHER major thing about this is that parents also need to know that telling your kids what to do IS NOT always going to work. I remember when i was younger i used to do things just because i knew that it would make my parents mad(DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS KIDS) but I'm just saying most kids ESPECIALLY around the age of 12-19 like to be a sort of rebels, they like to do what they wanna do and they're definitely not going to let they're parents tell them what to do. That's just the teenage hood. You parents went through it as well so you gotta know that your kids are bound to go through it as well...should you put some rules and boundaries in place with your kids? YES do it but you gotta also be able to compromise with your child, so that both of you can make a good conclusion and both parties are happy...telling them what to do and not discussing it with your child is probably one of the WORST ways to get through to your kid...talking is Key and being able to compromise with your child as well. If you use these techniques i ASSURE you that you will not be having any problems with your children. I didn't have these type of opportunities when i was younger to be able to compromise with my parents and all that i had to learn the hard way loll and that was by misbehaving but i have come to realize that there are better ways to make yourself happy but also your parents.

Chris Brown and Rhianna

so here i am doing this blog thing again i really do like it and like i said in my previous blog I'm new to all this so bare with me here people!!! but anyways u i decided to do my next one on this whole Chris brown and Rhianna thing. basically where i stand with this is that i feel like people need to realize that what Chris did was COMPLETELY wrong!! i don't understand how people can say things like since Rhianna provoked it she deserved what she got that is the most ignorant and disgusting comment that I've ever heard! no woman should ever EVER be physically abused no matter the circumstances! i don't care if Rhianna gave him aids or stabbed in the arm or slapped him across the face no man should ever EVER put his hands on a woman. This topic is very touchy to me because i know alot of women who have been through this type of things and it is one of the HARDEST things to get over. domestic abuse affects woman around the world every single day and its sad to See people saying that's its OK for a man to physically abuse a woman if she steps up to him? so what woman cant step up to a man now because they're more "superior" then us? COME ON!!! give me a break! i just saw the image of Rhianna after she went to the police station and i gotta say its disgusting i jumped the first time i saw it. Chris Brown is not a human being hes an animal for doing something like this to a woman so beautiful and so much potential in her life.

I hope Chris knows that he just threw his career down the drain and i hope he sees such great consequences for his actions. It disgusts me to see people still supporting this despicable creature. All the best towards Rhianna and her family and rhi rhi I hope u feel better!!!

confessions of Black Baarbie

So basically this is my first blog and I've decided to do my first blog on what better then myself! So here I am on this blog thingy and already I have no clue what to write. Well let me start by writing why I decided to start this. Well I'm the type of person who loves to express her opinion on anything and everything. I feel like hey we live in a free country where we are able to express our opinions on anything we want to right? so why not take advantage of that? there are a lot of people around the world who don't have that freedom like we do and I always thank god that I live in such a great place.I never really seem to understand why people are so afraid to speak they're mind at times it astonishes me to this day. Well enough about that let me tell you guys a bit about myself. I'm 5"5, 145 pounds, light skinned with dark brown eyes and electric black hair. You can find me wearing a pair of sweats with a sweater and huge sunglasses on with my bangs flying all over my face, or you can find me wearing a pair of black tights with bright red heels and a black turtle neck sweater with gold jewelry falling down my neck with huge gold earrings weighing down my ears carrying around a leopard print clutch. Yes you guys have guessed it I'm a scrub during the day but as hot as the sun in the night time. Now that you know a little bit about my appearance let me give u guys a bit on my background and and such. I'm African and Swiss. Born in Switzerland moved to Canada at 2months, yes i know your wondering why the hell was I born in Alps well my parents were both born in Africa in the Congo and both of them went to University in Switzerland they met there and boom bam had pretty little me! crazy story I know but hey that's life right?...I have 3 siblings; an older sister, younger sister, and younger brother so yes I am stuck in the middle! I've got the biggest family you could ever imagine everyday I find out about a new cousin or some long lost cousin that I've never seen before. My family is VERY huge 14 uncles and aunts on BOTH my parents side so you could imagine! So right now I am in my first year at college in London ON yes i said it boring old London I cannot stand that city but that's a totally different story. I'm taking Journalism-Broadcasting. My dream is to be a host of my own talk show, to be the next Oprah Winfrey or Tyra Banks. Why Oprah and Tyra you ask? I just feel that Oprah and Tyra have this charisma and they're not afraid to speak on anything; especially Tyra banks I feel is really good at this she is not afraid to speak her mind whatever comes through her mind she says it without fear or holding back, and that's what I love so much about them and that's what I think everybody should strive to do, which is to speak your mind without the fear of what somebody else is going to say and so that's why I see Miss Oprah Winfrey and Miss Tyra Banks to be my idols. Right now I am studying in Canada but will be interning in the States in two years for at least a period of 2 years. I may not be American but Obama is my savior. He to me is the dream that all Americans and not only Americans the WORLD have been longing for; and that dream is finally here. Oh wait! you guys are probably wondering why I call myself Baarbie well it was a name that was given to me when I was younger I used to hate it when people called me by baarbie but eventually got used to it and inherited the name but i decided to add Socialite with it because I think that I am a socialite...Trust me if you lived where i live you'd know what I'm talking about so i added Socialite to the baarbie and then decided to add an extra "a" in barbie to make it unique, some people call me by baarbie or the monster or loud mouth or my favorite mama Africa but I just prefer Miss Baarbie. So I hope my little story or blog as you guys might want to call it has helped you guys to get to know me better, and so when you do see my blogs you could possibly understand where I'm coming from. I look forward to writing more of these blogs for you guys to read, they actually clear my head up when I write these things so I will be doing this quite often.
